Wildkit shot Breezekit a look. “If she joins my team, she’ll win! Two against one always wins.” He was about to cuff his brother’s left ear, but was slightly disheartened when Heatherkit declined his offer. “But, Heatherkit, we would make a great team!” Even though he didn’t like the idea of being separate from Heatherkit, he knew he wouldn’t want to give up his position as “leader” for “deputy”, so he didn’t continue to complain. “Well, I’m leader of WindClan, so you both have to be leader’s of a different Clan. Breezekit can be ShadowClan.” He glared playfully at his gray-furred brother before racing off after Heatherkit, ignoring the comment from Goldenrose about baths. Wildkit didn’t particularly like to be groomed considering his fur was so long and got tangled easily, but he wasn’t about to ruin his playtime by getting in trouble for complaining about it.

Wolfstar watched their kits race after the other then gave Goldenrose an almost guilty expression. He knew their rowdiness came from him. He remembered being the exact same way as a kit. “I hope they’re a little smarter than me, though,” he chuckled. “I have a feeling at least one of them will be a little hot-headed like I was when I was an apprentice.” It was hard to believe the calm leader used to get angry easily, even attacking one a warrior during a Gathering. Although…Scorpionstrike was asking for it.

Wildkit used up a lot of his energy to catch up with Heatherkit. She was lithe compared to his stocky build, so she was much faster than he. Fortunately, he was able to grab her hind legs with his paws and pulled her to the ground, tumbling in the snow and dirt along with her. Wildkit was booming with laughter at their tumble as he was thrown against another snow pile. His black fur was instantly spotted with the white material, soaking into his fur strands. It was inevitable his whole coat would be wet from the snow.

    Breezekit and Goldenrose ~ WindClan

Breezekit rolled his eyes as Heatherkit declared that she would be fighting for her own side, declaring she would be the leader. “Uh huh.” Breezekit drawled boredly, although his dark blue eyes glimmered with interest. His sister was definitely the brains of their operation while it was clear Wildkit and himself were the muscle, and he could clearly see why Wildkit was displeased that Heatherkit wouldn’t side with him. “You only want her on your time because she’s a better fighter than you, mouse-brain.” He snickered towards his brother, glancing towards Heatherkit before Wildkit said that Breezekit would be the leader of ShadowClan if he ever became leader. A wide grin found itself on his face while the fur along his spine rose in amusement, he wouldn’t mind being leader of ShadowClan, the clan was said to be filled with the most ferocious of warriors. “Wildkit might be better suited for ShadowClan, your pelt would blend in.” He giggled, chin tilting as he watched Heatherkit and Wildkit spar before Heatherkit took off at a steady run, with Wildkit straight on her heel.

Goldenrose watched their kits for a moment before her chin tilted in order to look at her mate, his expression was certainly guilty but his dark blue eyes shimmered like Breezekit’s, her children sure did get their spark of life from their father. “Great, StarClan that’s all we need. At least they will be at the mercy of their mentors by that time.” She sighed softly, although she truly needed a break, she wasn’t ready for the time they would become apprentices. They wouldn’t need her anymore, what would she do then? Sighing softly, her ears fell back against her head while she looked back towards their kittens, the tip of her tail twitching with a small form of anxiety.

Breezekit followed his siblings at a much slower pace, practically prancing after the lot. He knew Heatherkit was faster, and since Wildkit and himself were practically of the same build, he wasn’t willing to push himself into the same state that Wildkit always did. Exhaustion. Although this time, Wildkit was able to trip their slippery sister, watching as they both tumbled in the snow caused him to grin. “You both looked like flailing bunnies.” Breezekit giggled as he looked between his snow soaked siblings, smirking as he moved to where he poked Heatherkit’s nose with his paw. “Well.. Wildkit caught you. You are now his deputy.” He grinned, flicking the snow off of her face before he stood back and watched his siblings get up, although he stayed clear of the snow falling from their pelts. He wasn’t the biggest fan of snow and he was learning that fact slowly.

Heatherkit simply swished her tail as Wildkit again expressed why his side was better to be on, this time declaring they would make a great team. She opened a blue eye, as if letting him know he was getting closer to the correct way of coaxing her over. The little kit could hardly deny such praise. However, her brother’s attention was quickly spun back to Breezekit as they went back to quarreling for leadership, and she grinned a little at the accusation made that Breezekit could lead Shadowclan. How funny and clever, she thought!

It seemed now though that Wildkit was ready to engage in her game of chase. With a squeal, the creamy ginger and white she-kit scampered off, sending a shimmering flurry of snow dust spraying behind her paws. Heatherkit was indeed quick, her form certainly going to be more lithe and slender as she grew, and where she lacked in the stocky muscle her brothers had she made up for in speed. The kit was also quite calculating, her mind whizzing with how to execute techniques that she could manage since her strength lacked considerably.

Heatherkit believed she wouldn’t be caught, her little heart racing with delight, though this was proved wrong as she found herself tripped and tumbling head over tail, more giggles and squeals fleeing her form. Laying flat on her back with her paws dangling in the air, the giggles of her brothers caused her to laugh more, her nose scrunching as Breezekit popped it with his paw. She stood, shaking the dirt and snow from her fur with a final laugh and then a huff, her smile bright.

Oh fine then, Windclan’s deputy I shall be…” She decreed, nodding towards Wildkit. However, after a pause, she broke into another laugh and launched herself, tackling Breezekit. “Until, surprise, I rebel and take over ShadowClan! Hehehe!

Wildkit scrambled back onto his paws after the tackle, shaking out his black coat to fling the snow away. His green eyes were bright with happiness that Heatherkit would now be his deputy, his paws kneading the ground, lifting up more snow and dust. But his pride at finally being a top rank with his sister was squashed when she attacked Breezekit to take over “ShadowClan”. The black tomkit stepped back and watched his siblings play fight, a large smile forming on his face. He quickly pulled up a paw to cover his face when they accidentally threw up some snow in his direction. “Hey! Watch it!”

He prepared to pounce at his littermates, but stopped when he noticed a moss ball beside the nursery. Wildkit sneaked away towards it, hoping neither Breezekit or Heatherkit were paying him any attention. He snatched the moss ball between his jaws, scampering back over to them. Without hesitation, Wildkit used two claws to hold the moss ball before throwing it directly at their faces. Before they would be able to see him, he turned and fled to hide behind another pile of snow close to where Wolfstar and Goldenrose stood. He gave them a wink, hoping they wouldn’t give his location away.
