    History

Lights from Northern Skies is from her parents middle litter, along with her sibling Shadow of Flying Hawk. The three litters of siblings living the Tribes are well aware of each other, though they grew up without knowledge of their half-sibling from their father’s previous mate who was born away from the tribe on one of his adventures.

    .

The relationship between Lights’ father Tree that Wakes in Spring and her mother Fall of Burning Leaves had a turbulent start to their romance. Before their first litter, Tree had left the tribe for several moons, and began a relationship with a lone she-cat. Against his knowledge, Leech in Calm Waters was born from their short relationship
    .
When Lights reached the age of apprenticeship, she chose to train as a sand-hunter rather than a cave-guard like her littermate. She much preferred to be out in the wind catching gulls on the cliffs or by the ocean chasing crabs; to hunt for her clan sounded thrilling. Due to the large amount of to-bes who needed training at once, Lights was paired up with Dipper that Hangs Over Branch. Though Dipper was training to be a cave guard, their mentor had filled both posts at different points in their life and was trusted to train both of them into their respective roles.

    .

During her apprenticeship Lights was very content and a model student. After she became fully-fledged, however, she became frustrated by the feeling of staying stagnant when the days started blending into one another. Dipper and her had formed a deep friendship, and despite her restlessness the two supported each other during more frustrating times.

    .

It was shortly after that the harder trials of life began; her father’s old mate from his time away from the Tribe arrived with Leech in tow, leaving them with the shocking news of their father’s disloyalty and a new sibling.

    .

After the initial scare that a child with another she-cat would ruin her parent’s already fragile matesship, Lights herself became very fond of Leech. Her main worry at this point is whether or not Leech will stay with them; and if their stories about outside of the territory will lure away members of her family.

    .
Family drama aside, Lights feels that life in the clans somewhat repetitive. She had developed a dangerous hobby of adventuring along the rocky cliffs looking for eggs and other small treats or oddities, and there have been several times she’s fallen or nearly fallen over the edges and onto lower outcroppings. Thankfully this has never seriously harmed her, but coming home limping one too many times seems to have raised some concern about what she’s out doing.
    .
Things are made more complicated when Lights discoved that Song of Wind Through Rocks had been leaving the territory to spy on the twoleg dens past the edge of the territory. She attempted to confront him about this, but it seems like unless she wanted to sell him out to the clan there’s nothing she can do to stop him since he isn’t listening to her. Lights is extremely worried that Song will leave the clans permanently, as their father’s wanderlust seems to have taken a particularly strong hold on him. The idea of her family separating is inconceivable to her, and so she does her best to follow him whenever he leaves camp, aggravating Song further.
    .
Things are coming to a boil, and Lights was almost anxious enough to admit to her own foolish behaviour and seek help if it would keep her family together. But with Leech seemingly fueling Song’s inclination to run off, is it possible not to fall into resentment? Will her family overcome their problems, or crack under the pressure?

    .

And yet, she doesn’t have the liberty; as the Tribe’s new leader, she must serve tirelessly lest her clan collapse under her. Perhaps most stressful of all is Palemoon being the singular To Be who shows any signs of being a Seer. Is it too much to hope that The Tribe of Endless Hunting has already made a concrete decision?
