    in camp with friends

The crunch of snow underpaw was enough to make the silver tabby wince, blue eyes widening in surprise at the freezing grip of leaf-bare. Had it really come so soon? It was chilly outside, her breath billowing in tiny clouds in front of her muzzle as she pushed her way out of the warriors den, keeping low. Her fur fluffed out against the chill as she lamely sniffed the fresh-kill pile, her belly squeezing. She hadn’t been as hungry as normal recently, and her tall bodice was beginning to show it. Though her pelt thick and glossy, her ribs were just beginning to show beneath her coat, legs a bit shakier than normal. She wasn’t sick, especially since she was able to get through training with Owlpaw so easily. And besides, she hadn’t met Roaringheart at the border almost half a moon. The handsome ThunderClan tom just so happened to show up near the stream almost every moonhigh, and she would be lying if she wasn’t interested in speaking to him.

Shaking her furry head, she settled back on her haunches near the nursery, the warm scent of milk and new kits making her whiskers twitch. If Shallowpool were still alive, would she be having Lionstrike’s kits by now? Or would the two be the best of friends, racing through the forest? The pair had went to StarClan together, and Littledove couldn’t help the pang of sadness that echoed in her soul. She’d never wanted kits, but now with no family in SkyClan? Perhaps she could see her sister if she had her own litter.. No way! You’re too young to be a mother! she thought suddenly, shuffling her white paws beneath her. Besides, the only tom whose caught your eye is.. she trailed off and thought about Roaringheart’s broad shoulders and tall stature. But there was another tom interested in her, one right beneath her nose. Tigersnap. The grumpy SkyClan warrior had taken special interest in Littledove’s apprentice, and it was no secret that Littledove had begun to thaw the ice around his heart. But did she love him? Hell, did she love Roaringheart? Staring at her paws, she let out a long, sad sigh.

It was one of those days Saffrongaze needed time to herself. Brightspark carrying her kits and the joyed anxiety coursing her veins was something she wasn’t used to. Padding outside her den, she looked around. Her usual clanmates trotted around. Smiling to herself, she could watch the clan mingle all day if said be, but someone caught her eye that seemed troubled. Saffrongaze blinked then trotted over to the feminine to see what seemed to be the issue. She had hoped she wasn’t intruding but with her nature, the peach Scottie couldn’t sit by and let someone struggle alone.

“Greetings, Littledove! How are you?” She asked as she carefully trotted over.

    leopardcloud

    skyclan’s dazed dreamer

Leopardcloud could be found, as she usually could, in a far corner of SkyClan’s camp, chin tilted toward the sky and gaze half-lidded, lost to her daydreams. The warrior’s fur was ruffled against the cold, but she seemed largely unbothered by the wind and snow, her lips curled up in a gentle smile. The rusty spotted molly was in her own little world, dreaming of sunshine and cloud-gazing and little rabbits running across the grass. The murmuring of the clan around her couldn’t even pierce her daze, but she slowly withdrew from her own mind as familiar scents danced in the wind. Littledove and Saffrongaze! Her friends!

To Leopardcloud, everyone was a friend, even if they didn’t quite know it. With a warm purr, the delicately built she-cat rose to her toes, dancing over toward the pair without a thought for manners or personal space. She gently bumped shoulders with each of them, her chest-a-rumble all the while. While it might seem that she was unable to read the atmosphere, it was quite the opposite. Her daze-y, ditzy persona, though often her true self, was also frequently used as a means of cheering others up. Long lashes fluttered as she sat down by the pair without asking permission, ducking her head in a little greeting. “Hi there, Saffrongaze, Littledove. Lovely weather, isn’t it?” The weather was, in fact, not lovely. Any cat with half a brain could see that.

Blue gaze blinking softly, the warrior fixed her eyes on the medicine cat, Saffrongaze, offering her a friendly smile. “Hello, Saffrongaze,” she purred in her silky tone. The she-cat had always been outgoing, and her own personal issues would never get in the way of that. “I’m alright, how’s the medicine den treating you?” Littledove knew that her apprentice had recently received her name, so the Molly should be overjoyed right about now. After all, medicine cats train much longer than warriors and take a much different path.

Before she could continue, another tone chimed in and made the warrior swivel her ears, eyes brightening in curiosity. The feminine frame of Leopardcloud came into view, her thin figure flopping down rather ungracefully next to Littledove, making the silver tabby shift awkwardly. “Erm, hey Leopardcloud,” she mewed in a more standoffish tone. She didn’t mean to sound rude, but manners were quite a big deal to the young warrior. So was personal space.

Taking a moment to readjust and put herself at a comfortable position, the warrior let out a soft sigh and turned to Leopardcloud once more. “Weather’s a bit down, but it could be worse so I can’t complain.” It was much nicer sounding than her previous disgruntled comments.

Saffrongaze took the time while Littledove spoke to better scan her. She could tell something was knocking off her aura and hopefully the medicine cat could help sooth whatever was troubling her. She gave a soft smile, nodding a bit to her question. “It’s been while since I had someone to share the den with. It’s nice to have help.” She said. “And what of you-“ She began to say before Leopardcloud cantered over to the two talking. Granted, she always enjoyed her sister company but at this given time, it was a minor inconvenience. But nevertheless, she had settled with them and Saffrongaze offered Leopardcloud a smile. “Ah, my beloved sister. How are you?” She asked with a soft purr rumbling her chest.
