    STORMFEATHER

Stormfeather cringed, but leaped to his feet right alongside his comrades and hurried to the battlefield. He yearned to be relaxing in the light of the midday sun, not trading blows with near strangers, but Storm had made a commitment when he told Hollystar he was ready to be a warrior right in front of his clan. This, unfortunately, was part of his commitment. Stormfeather was a good warrior, he was strong, endurable, and could land some damaging blows. Problem was his spine was weak, in short he was a coward. His attacks could be better if he weren’t afraid of, y’know, actually hurting someone.

Storm continued to speed through the crowd, wondering if he could get away with striking a few random cats that seemed to be giving his clanmates trouble and then sneaking off. ‘No, no, you stand and you fight.’ The warrior shuddered, that voice sounded just like Sunleopard. ‘She’d definitely kill you if you deserted the biggest fight we’ve ever seen.’ Actually, this was the first fight he and his friend had ever been in. ‘Is she here?’ With the commotion that erupted after Goldenrose’s entrance he really had no clue, having lost sight of Sun’s familiar golden coat.

With all his deep thinking Stormfeather failed to notice a Skyclanner fast approaching until he’d completely knocked into her, causing him to stumble. Whipping around he crouched, noting his greater size and their similar ages. ‘Apprentice or warrior. Okay, okay, I can do this. I can do this!’

The Oriental tabby swiftly turned on his heel, glaring in Scarletflood’s direction. Wordlessly he sped forward, jaws opening and snapping shut around the warrior’s ear as Falconpaw’s claws dug into her shoulders, his momentum and force sending the pair rolling back. Luckily, the apprentice landed on top and he was quick to take advantage, releasing the molly’s ear to hiss in the Shadowclanner’s face and swipe a blow down the side of her head.

“How’s that for a ‘hare brained Windclanner’?” Falconpaw spat out ferociously, eyes flickering like flames as they bore into Scarletflood’s. He was only an apprentice but he refused to lose, he couldn’t, for his pride and for his clan. Though, if he was being completely honest, mostly pride. “You Shadowclanners think you’re so great, why? Because you know how to lie? How to shed blood? News flash, ma’am, we all know how to do those things.” The tom scoffed, “Tell me, what’s it like never seeing the sun? Is that why Starclan didn’t give you a heart, because they couldn’t see you?” Falconpaw leaned forward and sneered, “Or they just didn’t care.”

The RiverClan warrior was so transfixed into his predatory line of sight that he hadn’t noticed another warrior barreling towards him from uphill, the collision of her slim body onto his own was unexpected and the force of it stunned him a little, but due to the difference in their sizes he had not sustained any real stuns from their crash. However, the sting of her claws against his muzzle caused him to instinctively recoil and a hiss left his peeled back lips in resentment towards her actions. Pantherstorm’s cold yellow eyes fixed onto her immediately, noting that he had not recognized the slender golden feline that dared to challenge him. Whoever she was, she would soon regret trying to intervene with him. He would make sure of it.

Without hesitation, the bulky tom launched himself onto Goldenrose, using the inertia of momentum to propel her lesser frame beneath him so that he could appropriately sink his curved claws into her shoulders. They dug deep, blood already beginning to swell around the blades before they had sunk in as far as he could dig them into her flesh. The two cats tumbled from this motion and they rolled until Pantherstorm was sure he had the upper-paw and had pinned her successfully to the stony, cold ground. Once he had her where he wanted her, the black tom’s muzzle displayed a cruel snarl and he tensed his paws, flexing his claws once more in order to create the maximum amount of agony that he could inflict upon the WindClan warrior before he chose to tear them downwards. The mixture of how deeply his claws were delved into her muscles as well as the motion of him dragging them down had left horrid, long gashes from Goldenrose’s shoulders all the way down to her chest, exposing a ghastly amount of flesh and blood.

Sure enough, Tinyflame had found herself and her patrol in the midst of an onslaught of an attack from RiverClan, ShadowClan, and now SkyClan had joined in the fray as well. She was thankful that Wolfstar had sent Breezepaw away for help, not only for the assured reinforcements they would need but as well that her apprentice would be home and safe in camp. This also gave the tiny warrior a chance not to be distracted in battle to ensure his safety. She didn’t have much time to ponder, however, for a slim RiverClan warrior had immediately sought her out and challenged her. Her teasing had rubbed the ginger warrior the wrong way and she parted her jaws for a stinging retort that didn’t have the chance to leave her jaws, for the white molly had launched herself at her and slammed her into the ground. In this moment, the WindClan warrior briefly cursed her small body, for it was certainly easy for other, larger, warriors with appropriately fully-grown bodies to gain the upper-hand against her like this. However, that being said, Tinyflame knew her body well and had trained significantly in order to not be overwhelmed easily by other warriors.

Concentrating all of her strength into her hind-legs, Tinyflame’s back paws shot out aggressively to defend herself, pummeling Swanpath’s underside with hard blows of unsheathed claws into the soft skin of her stomach. The force of her attack propelled the larger cat backwards and allowed the WindClan warrior an opportunity to hop back onto all of her paws. Though, she did not retreat unscathed, she found, as blood trickled down her nose and into her mouth. Scowling, the small warrior drew her tongue over her jaws and licked the welling wound. “WindClan knows well that Wisteriastar’s temper has been out of control lately,” Tinyflame spat back in defense of her leader’s decisions, “Wolfstar is just refusing to allow her to continue behaving rashly.” As she had finished speaking her piece, she darted forward and her unsheathed paws extended to lash out against the white warrior’s ears.

    Goldenrose ~ WindClan Warrior

A smirk swiftly found its way onto her lips when she noticed the slight surprise but quick anger that flickered over Pantherstorm’s facial expression when her claws had sliced through the black fur and skin along his muzzle. Her claws hadn’t made too much damage, the dampening of blood around his fur wasn’t too noticeable. Pupils narrowed as she noticed that Pantherstorm was rushing towards her and by the time she knew what was going on, all she could do was brace herself for impact. “Oof!” She gasped out as Pantherstorm rammed head on into her smaller frame, the wind instantly getting knocked out of her lungs as both felines tumbled down the slight decline of a hill. His claws were already digging deeply into the muscles of her shoulder blades so he wouldn’t be flung off, causing her teeth to grit in pain as he continued to hang on. Finally her mouth opened as she gasped for air as they finally landed, her back against the Stoney ground while Pantherstorm hovered above. Green eyes narrowed as the tomcat wasted no time in scoring his claws down her shoulders and towards her chest, his black talons ripping through her skin and tendon with ease, blood already beginning to stain her white and golden fur. “Aaaaaaaa!” Goldenrose screamed out in agony, withering underneath him.

Pantherstorm was smiling down at her in such a cruel manner, her eyes watering from the pain but she didn’t waste anymore time while he stood there admiring his work. Shifting under the massive Tom, her hind paws found their way to his tender stomach, although it was slightly awkward from the way he was holding her down. Grunting, her claws slipped from their sheathes and dug as far as they could into the tender flesh of his stomach. However, the angle she was at kept her from being able to rack at his belly, but the feeling of her claws digging to the tender flesh seemed to have caught his attention long enough for the muscles within her back to flex, her hind legs flexing as she pushed up on the back feline, he barely lifted off the ground but he had done so just enough for her to twist their bodies. His front claws still hooked her skin but with the force of her kick and with the twist of their bodies, Pantherstorm tumbled to the side with slight scratches along his stomach and side from where her hind claws had slightly hooked him. Her wounds were throbbing painfully, eyebrows pulling together in pain but she couldn’t afford for the tomcat to get the best of her once more. Shifting, she managed to push herself onto her side, a groan of pain slipping from her pale lips as her green eyes flickered towards that of Pantherstorm to see he was beginning to recover.

Her movements were sluggish, and everything hurt and she only wanted to wail but it was clear that if she allowed her defenses to fall then he could easily kill her. Grunting slightly, she moved quickly towards the tomcat, her fore paws stretched out for her claws to dig into his hind quarters, growling loudly as she tried to score her claws in a downward fashion, however her strength was dwindling from her wounds along her shoulders and chest.

    Eveningstorm ~ WindClan Warrior

His focus was mostly on the molly before him, her black fur was sleek and yet stood upright with the rush of battle. ShadowClan stench cling to her pelt like filth, burning the inside of his nose as he felt a snarl slip past his bared teeth, ears laying flat against his crown. The fur along his spine was standing upright, rich dark brown tabby fur ruffled with irritation as he felt the sharp prickle of canines digging through the skin on his left forehead, a quick hiss of pain slipped from his lips before his right fore paw lifted instinctively to ram her head down to the ground. Roseshadow must have seen his movements because she moved backward instantly as his paw fell, pupils narrowing as his long tail lashed out behind him in irritation. Roseshadow was slender and therefore faster than he was, he barely moved his head back in time for her claws to catch his upper lip, the sharp talons tearing through the skin with little resistance. “Damn.” He snarled, throbbing pain echoing on his lip and foreleg, while blood was already dripping into his mouth and coloring his teeth red.

Roseshadow appeared momentarily unfocused as her eyes seemed to glance over his shoulder blade, clearly she was seeing something he couldn’t. Taking her hesitation to his advantage, he crossed the space between them with long bounds before his teeth sank into her left shoulder blade, shaking his head for his canines to dig deeper and rip as much skin and tendon as he possibly could. While doing so, his right fore paw lifted for his talons to grab a hold of her right shoulder blade. Using his weight, he pushed the she-cat back to his advantage, but upon hearing a fellow WindClanner scream out in pain, his focus was lost, causing him to release his hold on Roseshadows shoulder blade and turned his chin in the direction of the scream. Goldenrose was being pinned under a large dark black spotted male, blood coloring her shoulders and chest. Goldenrose! He thought panicked; but the she-cat was tough and already had her attacker pushed off of her, while Eveningstorm’s own attacker was advancing.

    Snowyowl ~ SkyClan Warrior

Everything was moving so fast, cats were flying past her at rapid speed and her hearing was compromised with the screeches and shouts of vanities being thrown in the air. Applepaw had gotten lost from her side, causing her chest to squeeze with slight anxiety for her apprentice as the white furred she-cat was trying to spot the familiar pelt of her apprentice. Suddenly she felt as though she had been rammed by a feline as large as Firestar, the breath being knocked out of her lungs as she stumbled and fell onto her side. Her chin quickly snapped into the direction of her surprise attacker, canary yellow colored eyes narrowed in towards her pupils as she gazed up at the massive tomcat, her nostrils flaring to breathe in his scent. ThunderClan. She snarled within her mind, lips pulling back in order to bare her teeth. Even though he was large, he was moving swiftly as his outstretched paws were throwing sharp blows at her face and shoulder blade. His claws snagging her skin here and there and staining her white fur in bursts of deep red and slight pink from where the blood wasn’t so heavily flowing.

Growling in annoyance, she scooted back far enough to where she was now able to stand up, rearing back on her hind paws as she swiped at Roaringpaw’s face and muzzle. Her claws snagging the skin on his muzzle but her blows were as heavy as she could manage to his head. Swiftly she lowered herself back down onto all fours while she watched Roaringpaw carefully, she could jump on his back from the angle he was standing across from her, but they were in the perfect stance for paw to paw combat.

    Firestar ~Skyclan Leader

Letting his gaze flicker rapidly around him, taking in the battle forms of each feline. The stench of iron filled the clearing, easily masking the variety of different scents around him. Feeling his stomach turn at all the sight before him. Trying his best to shove the unease aside, as now was not the time to second guess his decision in having his clan get involved in the war. The tall feline easily towers over many around him, giving him a better opportunity to scout ahead and avoid unwanted confrontation. Firestar’s goal was not to harm just anyone as in his eyes the felines around him were only doing what their leaders were told. Grimacing at the thought of how much death will be on all of their shoulders. ‘Damn Wolfstar! Just had to demand war against Wisteriastar’ he bitterly thought.

Eyes widening as a feline comes barreling towards him. Giving the ginger tom barely enough time to dodge the contact. His fur bristling in self defense before realizing that the feline had been tackled by another; a Shadowclan Warrior. Furrowing his brows before catching movement in the corner of his eye; looking over to his left towards the outer center was Hollystar. Clenching his jaw at the sight of the dark Thunderclan leader. He felt that she was partly to blame for the whole mess they were in as of late. Firestar still felt bitter towards her for not handling the gathering situation of Kass’s blatant disrespect to everyone. Especially towards him. He would hate to admit it, but his pride had certainly taken a hit when the diluted calico shoved him off the tall stone.

With Hollystar in his sights, he starts to trek silently over in her direction. Not worrying about his scent alerting her as the air around them seemed to smother any smell but blood. Not long after he took a few steps did he hear his name being called behind him. Tensing as he looks over his shoulder with a cold scowl on his features. Letting his fiery ember eyes land on the  two toned eyes of none-other than Kass, herself. Holding in a sigh as he regards the deputy, turning to fully give her his attention. The tip of his tail flicking in slight irritation as he knew why she had approached him. ‘She knows who my target is’ the thought crossed his mind briefly. Smirking over at her at her casual talk, it was obvious she wanted to distract him. Was she that worried that Hollystar couldn’t handle herself in a fight?

Well he suppose that she had every right to be weary of him wanting to fight her mate. After all he had heard all about what little fight Hollystar had put up against Wisteriastar. “Oh wow you know someone else’s name besides your own?” He muses with a uninterested look. Quite frankly he was surprised that she did know his name, as she always seems to ooze arrogance to the point no one else matters but her and Hollystar. His usual sarcastic attitude was lacking as he couldn’t help but silently wish that just maybe he should have stayed with Milky when she asked. “Aren’t we all?” He drawls with a roll to his eyes. It seemed that many around them kept their distance while fighting off their foes. Flexing his jaw as concern bubbles within him for his brothers’ safety. Knowing that he wasn’t getting away from Kass so easily, he decides to indulge her in what she desires; a fight.

Straightening his posture, distributing his weight equally on his paws. Shoulders tensing as he shifts into a fighting position, though his stance was not one for offense but more defense. “Ladies first” he teases with a smug grin.

A hiss of pain escaped the RiverClan warrior’s jaws at the battering that Goldenrose unleashed upon the underside of his stomach, her claws scraping the skin as well as the force of her kicking winding him slightly upon impact. The distraction of the stinging sensation caused him to slip ever-so-slightly with his hold on the WindClan feline. Even though his grip into her flesh was deep and hooked strongly, he found himself stricken aback by the she-cat’s twist of her body which had allowed her to break free of his claws. Her escape irritated the black tom, his lips pulled back in a snarl and his golden eyes flashed at her as he watched her temporary retreat. She was back on him almost immediately, her claws tugging at the fur of his hindquarters as she tried to cling onto him. But her strength was ebbing from the wounds he had inflicted on her and he realized almost instantly that she would not be a match for him in her current state. Pantherstorm retaliated, snarling, and landing a fierce strike onto her skull. The force of the blow to the head caused her to stagger, balance broken. The dark-furred tom advanced, a cruel light in his eyes as his intention to take her life from her surfaced clearly in his face.

    Smokewisp – Shadowclan Deputy

Things are going well,‘ Smokewisp observed, watching as the battle unfolded below. Even if she felt some resent towards the battle, and events that had transpired leading up to it, she still enjoyed a good fight.  Still, she doubted vengeance would be what Russetstorm would want. An eye for an eye, and blood for blood. This battle was more for the living than the dead. The clans would vent their agitation through claws and teeth.

Her claws flexed, disappointed that Hornetstar had directed her to hold position unless needed. But, at the battle progressed she found herself more on edge. Things were starting to go wrong. Windclan reinforcements arrived. And soon Thunderclan scent was carried on the gentle moor breeze. She glanced over her shoulder at the warriors waiting behind her. ‘Now is the time,’ she thought, leading the charge down the hill as Thunderclan also erupted onto the scene.

It was chaos, and the grass was already slicked with blood. The fighting had been more brutal than usual, as angered blows struck deep. Smokewisp looked over, recognizing Goldenrose. ‘Wolfstar’s mate,‘ she thought, eyes narrowing. She was bleeding profusely from long, gnarly gashes. A dark Riverclan tom loomed menacingly above her. ‘She’s ready to flee,‘ Smokewisp noted. But, the dark tom wasn’t backing off. ‘Perhaps he’s too caught up in the moment‘ she thought. It was easy to forget the code during the heat of combat. Her claws dug into the ground as she launched herself forward, barreling into the tom’s side. “Enough,” she growled as she stood between them, acting as a barrier for Goldenrose’s escape. She glanced over her shoulder, peering down at the injured molly. “She’s in no condition to fight, go find someone tougher,” she bared her teeth at the tom.

“How chivalrous,” the ThunderClan deputy hummed, gracing the leader with an overzealous bow and a roll of her eyes. ‘I wonder if I could just keep standing here and not do anything, would he walk away? she mused to herself, flicking her tail as she looked the tom over. Her orange and blue colored eyes scanned his length and build, cataloging his features for future use, paws moving to circle him but unwilling to take the first step into the leader’s circle quite yet. “I’ve taken down enemies like you before,” she warned the bright orange tom, the tone of her voice not challenging, but purely stating a fact. “Are you sure you want to do this?”

This wasn’t Kass’ fight, she had no stakes in the game. If someone didn’t want to fight her why should she? For the honor of some old fart? There was movement from behind her and all of a sudden a battling duo knocked into the she-cat, a growl erupting from her maw annoyed. She raised a hand to strike at the offensive pair, “Watch where you’re stepping flea-bags!” she snarled, claws unsheathed and aiming for the eyes of the young cat that had the unfortunate timing to stumble into her. Unfortunately for the ex-rogue all she’d gotten was closed eyelids and a shriek of pain from a cat who seemed to be a WindClanner by build. Stressed and angry there was no stopping the deputy when she kicked out her hind-legs to knock the clan cat out from her side but then also use that added momentum to launch herself at Firestar. A move learned no doubt from the gathering fiasco.

With a grunt she landed head on, head butting the large tom flat on the front face of his muzzle. The weight of the tom caused the deputy minor disorientation at first when she pulled herself off, claws digging in at any surface while the world spun for a moment or two.

Tinyflame’s paws pummeling into her underside caused the larger snow white molly to stumble back, tail swinging to maintain balance as warriors around her pushed past. Swanpath kept two heterochromatic eyes on Tinyflame, sizing up the small Windclanner. What this little she lacked in strength she clearly made up for in other areas, of which Swanpath noted she’d need to be aware of. Swanpath almost laughed at the Windclan warrior’s statement, because how true was that? Wisteriastar was acting like a queen in her second month for Starclan’s sake, but being the warrior she was Swan felt no need to try and stage some sort of rebellion. Wisteriastar was a good leader, firm in her decisions and typically a strategic, confident molly. All leaders should be allowed some slip ups, this battle would probably be the biggest slip up ever made but Swanpath couldn’t deny it needed to happen. The rising hostilities would’ve only become more pressing with none of their leaders trying to ease the tension, so fight it was.

“How wise of Wolfstar. I suppose old age does bring wisdom, but at least we have strength and youth.” Really she didn’t know what she was saying, Swanpath’s mouth ran ahead of her thoughts when she was in battle. Gathering what she thought she’d said… The Riverclanner believed she’d insulted Wolfstar’s… Age. Which she herself thought was rude but this was war, she could afford to mock another for the many moons they’ve lived. “You’d imagine a tom as old and smart as him might have done something to avoid this all.” She didn’t have the full story, of course not, but from the information she’d learned it had something to do with Wolfstar. Swanpath cringed, praying to Starclan for this useless battle to end.The leap Swanpath made was smooth and effortless, her jaws clamping down on the other’s shoulder. With her momentum Swan managed to once again topple Tinyflame to the ground, this time pinning the other’s hind legs with her own.

‘Stupid tom and his stupid weight! He’s as heavy as Rolly…’ and the drop of that name from her past in her mind, one of many names, made Roseshadow scowl. Before she could try to maneuver out of Eveningstorm’s hold the tom’s grip weakened, his focus turned to… ‘Oh, the bastard’s mate.’ With Eveningstorm distracted by Goldenrose’s cry the Shadowclanner slipped from his grip, paws pressing firmly against flattened grass. In the blink of an eye the warrior had twisted around and, with strides that could rival a Windclanner’s, raced towards her far larger opponent. Putting power behind her back legs Roseshadow leaped, lips peeled back to reveal a row of sharp teeth that quickly sank into the tom’s ear. Roseshadow had her right front paw gripping the top of Eveningstorm’s head, her left paw’s claws digging into his shoulder. Her back paws left the ground as the remaining force from her jump gave the sleek furred warrior the advantage she needed to shove the tabby back.

As a rogue she’d fought a cat nearly every day, not to mention the times she would have to travel for days to retrieve something for her ailing father. Roseshadow knew she wasn’t as sturdily built as some, she knew she didn’t have a thick coat of fur like some, but what she did have was a lean and well muscled figure built for quick and dangerous close combat. She couldn’t use brute force but her quick thinking helped cover for that, as well as Rose’s agility learned from so many moons darting away from falling twoleg items. To think she’d still be using some of these skills even after training under Shadowclanners was both fitting and strange, and in that moment Rose felt content. Her moves weren’t graceful like her clanmate’s, they had too much of an edge of ferocity and wildness, not clean and to the point. She could adjust her grip so that both paws were on Eveningstorm’s shoulders but she’d discovered during her City days that the threat of claws slicing your face while teeth threatened the state of your ear was far more threatening.

    Firestar ~Skyclan Leader

It was strange to see such hesitance in one that seemed all too eager to start a fight a few moons ago. Furrowing his brows as he studies her firm stance, his skin itching with mild discomfort at her cold calculative gaze burning into his pelt. He knew that she was a strategist, always looking for a way to gain the upper hand. His size would not intimidate nor matter in this battle; that he was sure of. Remaining impassive as the rogue deputy slowly circles around him, wanting him to shift with unease but he held his ground with ease. Even flashing her a sarcastic grin as she goes by. The noise of the battle around him became muddled as his sole focus remains on Kass. Firestar would not overestimate her just for her smaller frame, she was a soldier-no a warrior. “Hey you are the one that approached me” he snarks. “I do not doubt your abilities but you should not doubt mine he trails off, leaving his words at that.

Just when he thought when she was going to make a move, a clumsy Windclanner stumbles into her. What she did next took him by surprise; her short fuse is shorter than he expected. Eyes widening as she furiously lashes out at the unsuspected feline, puzzlement fills him as she kicks the wounded cat away from her. He couldn’t understand why she would take her anger on someone that her clan was allied with. It just showed him that she truly did not care to be here and was just here for Hollystar. Firestar was having a hard time following her rapidly changing emotions and actions. One minute she was lashing out at someone else then she was lunging at him.

The leader only had a split second to bend his knees slightly to withstand the impact. Hissing sharply in pain as Kass’s head smacks harshly against his own. Teetering backwards slightly at her force before compensating his footing and balance once more. Eyes squinting through the dull ache pulsing through his skull, mentally cursing the calico for doing such a thing. It would surely leave a bruise or a headache from how hard her skull was. Regaining his composure quicker than the disoriented deputy, wasting no time for her to come to from her dazed state. Advancing upon her in quick strides, lowering his upper torso as he rams his shoulder blade into her chest. Using his momentum to slam her harshly to the floor with a loud thud.

A thin cloud of dust rises around them before settling to the ground once more. Revealing his large form hovering over Kass, his claws digging into her shoulders sharply as he stares her down. “That was a cheap move” he gruffs out, sour about the headache that was already forming. He hoped that knocking enough air from her lungs would disarm her from further attacking, but the fiery ginger tom knew that it would take a hell lot more to knock her out of a fight. No matter how much he disliked Kass from the previous gatherings, he had learned his lesson that killing didn’t necessarily solve everything. He needed to beat her fair and square and not go straight for the kill as he had done before when attacking Hornetstar.

Digging his claws deeper into her flesh, dragging his claws in the process as he holds her down roughly. His fiery golden gaze blazing in the dying sun’s light, “Now I know you were a rogue. But I would at least think that you would understand the word alliance” he mocks. Not even bothering to glance around him as many were too occupied with fighting to pay him nor Kass any mind. He didn’t know why but it irked him that she would attack one that was allied with her clan. As even though he isn’t overly fond of Riverclan, he knew that he would never go against the alliance and attack them. Shoving harshly away from her, not even bothering to sheath his claws. His hooked claws releasing their strong hold with resistance, backing up as he stares down at her form.

To him; he felt that he could have quickly incapacitated her right then and there, but a reckless and idiotic part of him longed for the fight. For the thrill of calculating and dealing out blows to an opponent, and the fact it just so happened to be against Kass was a pretty good bonus. “You just going to lay there? Thought the fight would be more interesting” he drawls out with a overly exaggerated sigh. Getting on others nerves just so happened to be a natural talent of his, so he’s been told.

    Eveningstorm ~ WindClan Warrior

His focus was currently torn as he gazed at one of his close friends being attacked without mercy, the dark black spotted warrior was inflicting wound after wound without so much as allowing her to take a breather. Of course, Roseshadow has noticed his hesitation and she was about to make him pay for it. Dark amber eyes were locked on Goldenrose when Smokewisp jumped to his friends rescue, causing a soft sigh of relief to leave his chest before he looked ahead of him. Ears suddenly stood upright when it noticed that Roseshadow was no longer standing in front of him and honestly he felt panic rush through his stomach. Rabbit fluff! He cursed when he found her, or rather felt her as she jumped onto his back. Growls erupted from his pale white lips as he began to jump up and down, essentially trying to buck the she-cat off of his back but her claws were securely dug into his skin.

Lips parted as an agreed and pain yowl left his throat when Roseshadows teeth suddenly dig into his ear, jaw growing tense as he had to force himself from shaking his head, unlike his instinct that was trying to get him to do so. Her paw was pressing down on his broad head, forcing his chin to his chest while he snarled and continued to buck his hips in order to dislodge the she-cat. “Damn, girl!” He snarled, ears twitching painfully as she chewed relentlessly on his ear. “That’s my good ear!” He growled, rearing back as his left Forepaw was trying to snag the Molly’s skin, anywhere really. She was causing so much pain on his head that he was becoming desperate to dislodge her.

    Desertrose
    The Deputy of Windclan

The air around her suddenly compressed as if it had turned into a massive fist. Its cruel fingers slowly tightening around her neck like a hangman’s noose. Desertrose’s breath caught in her throat as she felt a new, ominous pressure in her chest; the blood in her veins running cold. Was Wisteriastar truly so ruthless that she’d slaughter them like this? This battle was beyond unfair, and even with Thunderclan alongside them, they were greatly outnumbered. She quickly readied herself for what was to come, knowing full well that she’d be fighting with everything she had. While Windclan wouldn’t come out of this unscathed, she would certainly give them a fight to remember!

Fiery, amber eyes turned stony as Sleekfeather appeared in front of her. She tensed in preparation for a fight when he sprang forward but soon realized he wasn’t aiming for her at all. He soared overhead, and she turned just in time to watch him collide with her father. They began scuffling on the cold ground behind her. The dark warrior rained blows onto Sandadder as if he meant to kill him, and for a split second she wondered why the dark Riverclanner went after her father when she was nearest, but she quickly dismissed it as nothing. There were far more important things— such Eveningstorm yowling in pain.

The bone chilling sound grabbed her attention, and she soon found him underneath Roseshadow’s claws. She stared at him, suddenly worried that Roseshadow would rip his entire ear off if she stayed glued to one spot much longer. What was this feeling that she felt— and better yet, why was she feeling it? It was peculiar to think that she cared at all when she hardly felt that way about anyone, not even her own family. Clearly he would live without his ear, but the thought of him sustaining even the smallest of injuries filled her with the kind of sickening dread she hadn’t felt since.. well, ever. She shook her head to dismiss those distracting thoughts. They made no sense, and she had no time for such things. Desertrose took off in a sprint and slammed into Roseshadow, aiming for her ribs so she would gasp for air and release his ear.

Kass falls to the floor with a thud, not bothering to mask the cough that leaves her lips and instead directing the wet line of attack at the SkyClan leader, the cough turning into a chuckle when he called her move cheap, “Yeah, yeah, you can cry about it later,” she rolled her eyes with a lazy smile. There was something behind her eyes that screamed joy and elatedness- was she? Was she enjoying this banter, getting beaten up with the tom on top of her? Many saw this position and assumed he was the one in control, but how could she be when he was exposing so much vital areas in front of her?! The dig of his claws only made her smile grow more genuine and crazed. “Mayber, but it’s not my fight.” She responded with what shrug she could muster under his weight. She turned her head reaching and craning her neck to bite hard into her attacker’s forearm, teeth digging into his veins and feet kicking wildly to buck him off of her. “It’d do you good to realize this isn’t your fight either,” she added as he pulled himself off of the deputy, claws tugging into her skin leaving a burning feeling of adrenaline. “Look around Firestar, how much of this fight is to defend anything of yours? How much of it is just the bruised egos of the Big Three?”

He was taunting her, she realized, trying to irk a reaction out of her. Perhaps pull a reaction that would no doubt pull her into further trouble for possible breaking one of their codes. “Well its not like you can kill me,” She pointed out as she pulled herself back up. “Not while you’re bound by your code.” With a quick dive she found herself diving underneath the brute, twisting her body so her lower half could kick up at his jaw/neck area. She was now prone again underneath him but then again, she’s where everything important was. With a swipe of her claws she focused her efforts on the hollow of his raw stomach. “Why are you even here Firestar?” She growled from beneath him.

Works every time, Roseshadow notes smugly, claws digging in further. The molly wouldn’t have much more time to bask in her pride before a slim figure slammed into her ribs. With a yowl if surprise and rage, Roseshadow released Eveningstorm and allowed herself to be tackled to the ground. In a flash she was back on her feet, a frontal strike hitting Desertrose on the nose. It was equal parts a warning and reactionary.

“‘Spose that brute’s a ‘friend’ of yours?” Roseshadow spat out, venom dripping from every word. Damn, and she almost defeated that one. Well, Roseshadow couldn’t deny she was eager to have a new opponent. Unlike the last one this one was slim, like her, but seemed to have half and inch or so on her height-wise. “How sweet that you came to his rescue, no idea how long he’d last if you didn’t.”

without waiting for a response the sleek feline darted forward, raising her two front paws to shove Desertrose backwards. After a bit of tumbling Roseshadow scrambled on top, front paws pushing down on Desert’s shoulders while her back paws’ claws rested dangerously over her stomach.

    Eveningstorm ~ WindClan Warrior

Despite his large size, the tomcat was having trouble with trying to hook his claws into the dark black pelt of the she-cat that was clinging to his back, bucking roughly as he tried to at least dislodge her. The feeling of her sharp canines shredding through his ear was enough for another yowl of pain to escape from him lips. Quickly, his chin snapped back quickly as tried to butt his forehead against the bottom of her chin. Pupils narrowed dangerously pain as his forehead lightly connected with Roseshadow’s chin, more than likely wouldn’t give her reason to release his chin. Suddenly he felt a rough thump against his side, as claws ripped from his scruff and the horrid teeth had finally left his ear as Roseshadow and Desertrose tumbled. His left eye was blinded from the blood that was dripping down his face from the torn ear. Desertrose…? He thought in a haze, dark molten amber eyes narrowing in confusion at the two lovely she-cats.

Eveningstorm blinked slightly for a moment as he tried to regain his balance as Roseshadow pounded at Desertrose. For whatever reason.. it bothered him that Roseshadow was battering Desertrose as he found a small growl slipping from his lips. Brute? He thought in shock and irritation, his long tail lashing out behind him as he took a step towards the she-cats before they went tumbling. “Desertrose!” He called out in worry as the two disappeared from his line of sight as other fighting felines got in his way, causing him to growl in irritation. Desertrose was an excellent fighter and he knew she could take care of herself, but he didn’t like that she was fighting his opponent and he couldn’t help the feeling of unease prickling at chest. Shes fine… she’s perfectly fine. He kept thinking, using his broad shoulders to push cats out of his way.
