Stunning cyan blue orbs flicker under the dim moonlight as the slender molly silently makes her way through camp, heading out into the territories to her favorite little hang out spot to enjoy the quiet evening. Taunt muscles flexing with every movement she makes, scrunching up her delicate features in distaste at the stiffness. Today had been a long day of training, between battle strategies to learning how to properly hunt, it was all very exhausting not to mention much more difficult than what the older apprentices had made it out to be. Which made the young apprentice come to an conclusion that she had been foiled into believing such a stupendous idea. Nothing was easy, she now realized, and she was just going to have to work ten times harder to get to where she wants to be; comfortable. The reddish-brown bengal feline knew that she would never be the best of the best within Thunderclan, but she wanted to strive to not be the worst either.
Biting her lower black lip in hesitation as her nerves suddenly hit her that she was breaking curfew for the apprentices, something she hadn’t dared ever try before yet her sweet tooth beckoned her forth to the dark side. Slipping through the oak forest and passing the winding river, she was soon approaching her destination; the berry flats. Paper-thin ears twitching at the prominent songs of the crickets around her. Petite paws sinking into the soft, moist earth as she trekked forward with determination. Just the thought of the berries made her mouth water and her pupils dilate in want. “And here we are…” she muttered to herself with a small victorious grin, as this was the first time breaking the rules for any sort of thing.July 14, 2019 at 1:07 am #2350mahon [owl]Participant
It was a restless night for Plumpaw, who couldn’t seem to fall asleep. The young apprentice felt as if he were tossing and turning in his nest as excitement and adrenaline continued to rush through him even after his training session with Foxnose earlier that day. So there he was, in the apprentice’s den bored out of his mind but unable to do anything about it. Minutes felt like hours. How Plumpaw wished there was something for him to do. As if starclan answered his silent prayer, the young tom lifted his head slightly when he heard stirring from within the den. Careful not to make a noise, Plumpaw leaned forward slightly to catch the scent of who was moving. Chanterellepaw! The two were around the same age and therefore the reddish furred apprentice knew her from their time in the nursery. The young tom felt a cheeky grin grow on his features as he watched the she-cat make her way out of the den. Waiting for a few heartbeats, Plumpaw pushed himself to his feet and slowly snuck out after her.
The thunderclanner had never broken a rule during his short time as an apprentice, excitement tingled with every step forward as he realized this would be the first time. Plumpaw stalked the molly through the forest, curiosity filling his thoughts as he wondered what she could be doing. Maybe she’s just going for a walk. Or night hunting. Or maybe she’s meeting with an enemy warrior! This thought caused the tomcat to pick up his pace. Before he knew it, Plumpaw had tracked her all the way to the berry flats and waited behind a bush for a moment, watching what she would do. However, Plumpaw wasn’t a very patient apprentice and found himself jumping out without a second thought. “Hi, Chanterellepaw! Bet you didn’t hear me coming, huh!” Plumpaw bounded forward, energetically greeting the feline. “I heard you leave the camp and decided to follow you,” he added excitedly. “What are you doing out here so late? Foxnose told me it’s dangerous for an apprentice to go out at night.” He recited the words of his mentor, puffing his chest out proudly at the chance to show his learning.July 14, 2019 at 1:36 am #2356RoachParticipant
Her long dark reddish-brown spotted tail flicker side to side as she hums softly to herself. Blue eyes glancing around at the bushes, determining which berries would suit her cravings. The thoughts of sneaking out and discomforting anxiety of getting caught were long pushed to the back of her mind as Chanterellepaw rejoiced in achieving her little sneak out without being caught. Though it would seem that she was becoming a little too cocky so soon. Just when the petite she-cat decided on a bush and gracefully made her way towards her target, bending her cranium ever so slightly to delicately pluck a juicy berry from the branch did something occur. Suddenly another figure pops out of nowhere, appearing before her. Causing her to let out a short high pitched yelp before scrambling away from who she now recognized as Plumpaw. Chest heaving erratically, gasping for breath as she had originally believed that she was being attacked or worse had been caught. Slowly her breathing returns to normal rhythm, heart beat still slightly out of tune as her wide eyed expression soon turns into a scowl.
Huffing with pure annoyance at having been frightened and followed by the energetic tom before her. Furrowing her brows as she wondered how Plumpaw could talk so much and so fast. Quickly she rushes forward, slapping her tail over his mouth as she gives him a reprimanded look. “Shh! Do you want to get us caught and in trouble?!” She hissed with a small frown. Eying him once more as if making sure he wouldn’t do anything else that would jeopardize their whereabouts before removing her tail from his mouth and taking a few cautious steps back. “I was hungry…” Chanterellepaw sighed as she looks away from the red apprentice, side-eying him and the bushes filled with juicy berries. “So I came out here for a late snack…” she clarified with a simple flick to her tail. “Also…” she added with a roll to her eyes, “I know I shouldn’t be out here, that’s why I was trying to be quiet” she mocked, completely ignoring his little display of puffing out his chest, she simply wasn’t interested. Chanterellepaw just wanted her sweet late night snack.
