It had been approximately one moon since her warrior ceremony and the little calico still couldn’t believe she had the privilege of being a ThunderClan warrior! She had been dreaming of this life since she was a kit, and now that it was here it seemed surreal. The sun had begun to sunk behind the clouds, slowly morphing into the earth and bleeding it’s golden light across the forest. It was quite beautiful, especially when the sun hit the foliage just right. The young warrior had been helping a rowdy group of apprentices learn a difficult battle move, one she’d only just mastered with the help of her former mentor, Cinderjay.
Purring, she flicked her tail toward the trio and after saying her goodbyes, padded away. Her dual colored irises scanned the clearing, one green and one amber, glowing brightly as she searched for something to do. Leaving the apprentices to practice seemed right, especially since she was probably needed elsewhere. “Cinderjay?” she called, hoping her former mentor would assign her a task. What are you an apprentice? she thought sheepishly, biting on her cheek. It was bad enough she followed the older warrior practically everywhere, hopefully he didn’t think she was being a nuisance.January 14, 2021 at 3:30 pm #10793SaffieParticipant
:: Dunehawk ::
Returning from a stroll within Thunderclan territory, the briar-colored feminine trotted into the clearing. A crooked grin plastered on her maw; a feature she picked up from her father. He was a strange tom of Thunderclan but despite it all, he was still loyal. As the same with Dunehawk. A voice caught her attention; Cinderjay? Dunehawk looked around; was Cinderjay around.
Her fox-snaring yellowing gaze followed the voice to see Mapleshine; newly made warrior. Her head tilted but she decided to see if she needed help. “Are you alright, Mapleshine? Do you need help with something?” She asked, her tone coming off genuine but different than more she-cats within Thunderclan.January 14, 2021 at 4:42 pm #10795snowParticipant

The chime of Dunehawk caused the little calico Molly to whip around, eyes widening in surprise. “O-oh Dunehawk! You spooked me!” she stammered, a genuine laugh escaping her lips. She smiled brightly and waved her tail, trotting forward to meet the older warrior. “Oh me? No, just seeing if he’s around. Guess he’s busy though. What are you up to?” She tended to ramble, and hopefully her denmate wouldn’t mind that. Besides, Mapleshine was quite the chatterbox, especially when it came to cats she was interested in.
The pretty calico was often seen mooning after older warriors in an unromantic way, inspired by their service to their clan. She one day hoped to be just like them, standing proudly shoulder to shoulder and fighting for what she loves.
