Sighing softly under his breath as the faint rumbles of thunder rolled through the tainted sky. The ebony feline furrows his brows as his sky blue eyes with a tint of jade green flicker up in fascination of the clouds during dark, letting the young warrior know that a storm was brewing and it did not seem like it was going to be a nice one. Flicking the tip of his black fluffed tail before slipping out of the entrance of the warriors den. Taking in the felines around him, hearing the nervous chatter as many discussed their apprehension of the weathers sudden turn around.  Beetlenose too could feel the slight shift of thickness in the air, tensions were slowly rising and he wondered how long before it snapped. Pursing his black rubbery hued lips as he keeps his head down, not wanting to draw much attention to his tall slender form. Being dark furred tended to be helpful when he stuck to the shadows, but out in the open he stuck out like a sore thumb. His black pelt was a stark contrast to the greenery around him.

His long fur ruffles in the breeze, causing the tom to close his eyes in bliss at the coolness brushing against his skin. Purring in content before returning back to the present as he makes his way towards the outer edges of Riverclan camp, his paws itching to be doing something helpful but was at a loss on what would be needed to help out his beloved clan. The only thing that truly concerned him was with the way the clouds were darkening, a heavy rain were soon to follow. There hasn’t been much rain lately, the grass beneath his paws were dry, crackling with each step he took. Which told the observant tom that they were in need of rain but he was afraid they might get more than they bargained for.

    FORESTMASK.

The dark clouds gathering overhead didn’t look promising at all, even if things had slowly been becoming more dry around the territory. They had seemed to be building for days now, at least starting to let loose low rumbles, surely a sign rain was about to start falling upon RiverClan at anytime now. Looking at the clouds though, they went on for as long as his green eyes could see. That meant once it did start raining, it might not let up for a long time. And, though they were the Clan of the water, their dens weren’t ready for such an onslaught. He was most worried about the nursery and elders’ den, in fact.

So he took it upon himself to find another warrior currently not busy with other duties, and go gather supplies to patch up any dens that needed it. Seeing Beetlenose pacing about, looking like he wanted to do something but not knowing what, the large dark brown tabby approached the other warrior. “Hey there, Beet’,” he greeted, flashing the other tom a lazy, easy-going smile. “Wanna tag along with me to find some supplies to fix up tha dens? Those clouds don’t look to promisin’.” He patiently waited for the other’s response, certain it would be a yes but just wanting to be courteous.

    Beetlenose ~Riverclan Warrior

Blinking in surprise as he hears a calming deep voice not far behind him, calling out to him by a shorter version of his full name. Confusion painting onto his soft but handsome features before he turns around clumsy on his large paws. Flicking his left ear in greeting as his blue and green eyes land on the dark brown figure of the one and only, Forestmask. The warrior couldn’t help but give the fellow feline a warm half smile as his calming and happy go lucky aura surrounded Beetle and calming his nerves that he didn’t even know he had. Muscles relaxing as he listens intently to his fellow clan-mate.  He purrs lightly in greeting before nodding his head ever so slightly with a hum. “Yes I will come with you. I was just thinking about this storm that’s to come. Can’t help but have a feeling it’s nothing we will expect..” he trailed off from his monologue.
Clearing his throat as he shakes off the thought of what the storm would bring to Riverclan. His hypnotizing sky blue and jade eyes glistened with determination to help Forest gather supplies to better equip the dens around them to hopefully better prepare for an endless rain. Turning his dark cranium as he looks about the clearing, eyeing his fellow felines with interest. His sensitive ears twitching at the sounds of voices around him as well as thunder that slowly but progressively got closer. “Better get going!” Beetlenose exclaimed as he makes his way toward the edge of the clearing. Sighing in content as he lets the darkness of the shadows enclose around his form. His pitch black, ebony fur easily getting swallowed by the absence of light. Before Beetle could fully submerge into the shadows, he glances over his shoulder. Smiling kindly before gesturing to Forest and the exit. “Want to lead the way? After all it was your idea” he reminded teasingly.
